Bodhgaya Tour

Duration: 11 Nights / 12 Days Place to Visit: Delhi - Agra - Varanasi - Bodhgaya - Patna - Vaishali - Khushinagar - Lumbani - Kapilvastu - Sravasti - Lucknow - Delhi

Day 1: Arrival Delhi
Arrival at Delhi and after the warm greetings by our tour representative, your transfer arrangement will be made to hotel. Overnight stay will be at Delhi.

Day 2: Delhi
On the first day of Buddha Circuit with Golden Triangle tour, you will visit the most famous attractions of Delhi like - the Rajghat (cremation sites of Mahatma Gandhi), Jama Masjid, Red Fort, Lotus temple, Kutub Miniar, the Chandni Chowk area, Humayun's Tomb, Lakshminarayan Temple and the India Gate. You can spend some of your free time in shopping. Tours representative will drop you to hotel for your overnight comfortable stay.

Day 3: Delhi - Agra (En-route Fatehpur Sikri)
After the morning breakfast you will be drive to Agra "Taj City" of India, enroute visit Fatehpur Sikri. This place was built by Emperor Akbar in 1569 to memorialize the birth of his son and later abandoned due to scarcity of water. Here you will see amazing Bulund Darwaza - the largest gateway in the world, and the Tomb of Sheikh Salim Chisti, a renowned Sufi saint of India. On arrival at Agra, check-in to the hotel. Rest of day at leisure and later your night stay arrangement will be made in a hotel at Agra.

Day 4: Agra - Varanasi
After the morning breakfast, you will be drive to see illustrious Taj Mahal and the Agra Fort. The Taj Mahal, a symbol of eternal love of a Mughal king and his queen which is counted as a world?s wonder and it is also known as world?s heritage site and considered as the most beautiful historic monument in the world. In evening, you will be transferred to Railway Station for overnight train journey to Varanasi.

Day 05: Varanasi
On arrival at Varanasi, you will be checked in to hotel. Take Morning breakfast and enjoy your full day sightseeing tour to explore Varanasi very enthusiastically. You will visit the river Ganga, some famous temples and excursion to Sarnath, which is the spiritual centre of Buddhism. You will see famous Dhamaekha Stupa, Moolgandha Kuti Vihar and famous Sarnath museum having rich collection of antiques from Ancient India. Your overnight stay arrangement is in Varanasi.

Day 6: Varanasi - Bodhgaya
Take early morning visit to lively Ghats of the Ganges to enjoy the religious culture of Varanasi and later proceed to Bodhgaya. Check into the hotel, on arrival at Bodhgaya. Relax and stay overnight at hotel in Bodhgaya.

Day 7: Bodhgaya
Take morning breakfast and visit the sacred Mahabodhi Temple - where the Buddha attained enlightenment under a Bodhi Tree. Afternoon, enjoy a sightseeing tour of Bodhgaya visiting Niranjana River, Sujata Village and many beautiful monasteries. Also visit Great Buddha Statue, Mahakala (Dungeswari) cave, Vajrasana, Animeshlocan Chaiyata, Bodhi Sarovar, Vishnupada Temple, Archaeological Museum of Bodhgaya, Japanese Buddha Temple, Thai temple and many more. At evening, visit the Mahabodhi Temple for prayer. Your overnight stay arrangement is in Bodhgaya.

Day 8: Bodhgaya - Patna
On ninth day of your Buddha Circuit with Golden Triangle tour, your will be drive to Patna. Check-in to the hotel on arrival. Later enjoy full day sightseeing tour to explore the many tourist destinations of Patna. You will visit places such as Takht Shri Harmandir Saheb, Hanuman Temple near Patna Junction, Kumhrar (the place was the seat of Chandrgupta Maurya, the ruler of Magadh), Patna Museum, Golghar and Patna Planetarium (the largest Planetarium in Asia). Your overnight stay is arranged at a hotel in Patna .

Day 9: Patna - Kushinagar (En-route Vaishali)
Take morning breakfast and we will drive you to Kushinagar, visiting Vaishali enroute. Vaishali was one of the key Buddhist destinations in ancient India. Here, Buddha preached his last sermon and proclaimed of his Parinirvana. It was the venue of the 2nd Buddhist Council, which was held almost after 100 years of Buddha's parinirvana (passing away). You will see the Ashokan Pillar and Shanti Stupa. During your Patna visit you will see places such as Takht Shri Harmandir Saheb, Hanuman Temple near Patna Junction, Kumhrar (the place was the seat of Chandrgupta Maurya, the ruler of Magadh), Patna Museum and Golghar. Continue driving to Kushinagar. On arrival at Kushinagar, check into the Hotel. Overnight stay will be at Kushinagar.

Day 10: Kushinagar - Lumbini
Take morning breakfast and enjoy a sightseeing tour of Kushinagar. Visit the sacred Mahaparinirvana Temple and Rambhar Stupa. Later, we will drive you to Lumbini by road. Arrive at Lumbini and check into the hotel. You are at the birthplace of Buddha and visit the 'Sacred Garden', Ashokan Pillar, which carry an inscription identifying the spot as the birthplace of the Buddha, and the sacred Puskani Pond. Your overnight stay arrangement is in Lumbini.

Day 11: Lumbini - Kapilvastu - Sravasti
After the morning breakfast, we will drive you to Sravasti, enroute visiting Kapilvastu. Arrive at Sravasti and check into the hotel. Sravasti is the place where the Buddha spent his 24 rainy season. Sravasti keeps importance in Buddha?s life. Overnight stay will be at Sravasti.

Day 12: Sravasti - Lucknow - Delhi
You will be drive to Delhi via Lucknow. Arrive at Delhi and check into the hotel. Stay Overnight at hotel in Delhi. After the morning breakfast at the hotel, enjoy a morning sightseeing tour of Delhi. You will visit the magnificent Red Fort, Jama Masjid (Biggest mosque in India), Raj Ghat (Mahatma Gandhi memorial) India Gate, Laxmi Narayan Temple, and Akshardham Tempe. Later, in evening, our tour representative will transfer you to airport to board your return flight back to your own destination. Enjoy the soothing memory of your India Buddhist Tour.
